Happy Valentine’s Day!

The history of Valentine’s Day dates back to the third century BC. Not only all roads lead to Rome, but all love stories too lead to Rome, the eternal City!

The eternal City!

Emperor Claidius was keen on increasing the strength of his armed forces and was looking for strong and brave men! But the city was full of love and men failed to commit themselves to the army! The emperor imposed a law against love and those who help in spreading love!

Emperor Claudius

Saint Valentine, who was a serious believer of love, continued to preach love and helped couples to marry, inspite of the strict laws! On knowing this, Claudius imposed a jail sentence on Valentine and he was given a very harsh treatment at the prison!

Saint Valentine

During his time in prison, a beautiful love blossomed between Valentine and the blind daughter of the head prisoner, Augustine, a love that was true and pure! This came to the emperor’s knowledge and he ordered for the most extreme punishment for Valentine, a death penalty!

Before being hung, Valentine wrote his last letter to Augustine, which he ended with the phrase, “from your Valentine”, which became very much popular for the eternal love that he had. On February 14, he was hung to death and to honour his love, this day was celebrated as the Valentine’s day throughout the world!

The final letter!

Love is in the air! Without love, no life can exist on the earth! Love can be of any form, not necessarily between a boy and a girl! Life begin’s with mother’s love and ends with your own self love at the age of ninety or hundred! In between, many forms of love play with us in many different ways and the way we react to it takes us to different places and situations! But as they say love is sweet, love always takes us to sweet endings! Keep loving! ❤
