As the title suggests, this blog talks about the real Indian Premier League which has thus far showcased some brilliant young Indian talents! IPL’s thus far have always been dominated by big and experienced names like MSDs and the ABDs! But this time around in the 2020, its not only about the Gayles, Malingas and Russells! Samsons, Kishans and Sainis have been a turning point in this IPL and have also become some of the most feared players in the tournament.
The sight of Rahul Chahar getting Kohli out, Washington Sundar getting Rohit Sharma out, Navdeep Saini giving away just seven runs in a super over and Rahul Tewatia getting Shane Watson out tells the story of how impressive the young Indian bowlers have been! On the other hand, the sights of Ishan Kishan almost taking his team home single handedly in a high pressure chase, KL Rahul being so consistent at the top of the order and Sanju Samson smoking world class bowlers out of the park has been the tale of the Indian batsmen! The reason behind all these future stars shaping up well, in my opinion is the 90s cricketers like Dravid, Laxman, Ponting and Kumble in the dressing rooms of some IPL teams! That is the opportunity that the IPL provides to all these young guns around the country! May the trend continue in the upcoming seasons too!
